Grade 1

Application needs to be made in person, i.e. by the parents; the forms are not available electronically, neither are they posted on request.

As the school’s Grade One class is generally over-subscibed by as much as 50%, parents living outside Scottburgh, who do not have other children already enrolled at Scottburgh Primary School, are advised to apply at the school closest to their place of residence, or at other schools in the area.

The Initial Application form must be completed in full by the child’s parents and accompanied by the following supporting documents:

Certified copies of:

  • Child’s official birth certificate
  • Child’s vaccination records. Please ensure that all vaccinations are up to date
  • Latest progress report from previous school
  • Mother’s identity document
  • Father’s identity document
  • If applicable, a copy of the death certificate if one of the parents is deceased
  • Proof of residence  – a Utility Bill (rates / electricity / water account) in the name of the parent and showing the residential address – not older than three months
  • Clearance certificate or current school fee statement

Acceptance of the application does not guarantee or imply acceptance at Scottburgh Primary School.

Contact the school admissions secretary for further information regarding admission to Scottburgh Primary School.
