Dear SPS family


Warm greetings to all



The AGM was held on Thursday, 2 November 2017. Thank you to the parents who attended the AGM and for your positive comments and inputs. The following resolutions were approved by the parents at the AGM:

  •  The parents agreed to set the 2018 school fees at R15 950. (A more detailed breakdown on school fees is attached). It is imperative that these forms are filled in and sent back to school by FRIDAY, 17 NOVEMBER 2017.
  • Over and above the school fees for 2018, the parents agreed to an annual fee of R290 per learner for 2018 towards the Mathletics and Reading Eggs Online Programme,  which must be paid to the school on or before 31 December 2017 ( Grades 2 to 7 only)( Grade 7 will pay for Mathletics only- R150).
  • Over and above the school fees, all new learners successfully enrolled at Scottburgh Primary School from 2018 onwards, will voluntarily contribute a once-off amount, not exceeding ten percent of the said current year’s Annual School Fee( 2017 school fee), towards special development projects at school as determined and agreed by the SGB.
  • The parents at the 2017 AGM agreed to a ten percent development fee amounting to R1470 per learner, which will be paid by the parents on the successful enrolment for 2018. This amount must be paid in by 31 January 2018.

School fees 2017: A sincere thank you to all those families who have paid their school fees so diligently throughout the year. Your contribution has enabled Scottburgh Primary School to continue to offer quality education, and your commitment is sincerely appreciated. The final school fee account for the year has been processed. All outstanding fees are due by the end of November. Thereafter accounts will be handed over for collection, unless arrangements have been made with the Governing Body.

School bags (new):  The first order of the bags have arrived at school. Kindly collect at the front office, if you have paid for one. We have ordered just a few additional bags. Please contact the school, should you wish to purchase one. It will be on a “first come, first serve basis”.

Hampers for our Caretakers: The monitors will be co-ordinating a collection of non-perishable and tinned foodstuffs to make up Christmas hampers for our hardworking caretakers, Sbu, Goodenough, Wiseman, Smart, Innocent, Lindi and Princess. Each child is asked to bring a donation by Thursday 30 November so we can make up the hampers.  Donations of dry foods such as mealie meal / sugar / rice / samp / beans / packets of soup powder, or tinned goods of any kind are very welcome; special treats would be a bonus!
