I cannot believe how the year has flown by. It has been an incredible year for our school. We have achieved so much in such a short space of time. Scottburgh Primary will continue to be an institution of excellence. My sincere thanks to my school community for welcoming me into our dynamic school with such warmth. Your kind words, compliments and support throughout the year is truly appreciated. This year has been truly remarkable for me and I want to thank my staff for their dedication, passion and professionalism. Our learners are our inspiration and they have made us proud with their achievements in all areas of their schooling. Well done.

Extra Murals and Sport

Girl’s hockey was introduced this term and enjoyed by all. Our swimming team participated in a friendly swimming gala at Athlone Primary School.

Super Fun day

This new initiative was enjoyed by all learners and staff and will become an annual event.

Announcements

New Security Measures for 2017 and extended staff parking.

The school has contracted a security company, effective January 2017. The security officer will be stationed at the main entry gate and will, at times, patrol the school perimeter. Due to the increase in staff next year, the staff parking will be extended to the general parking area. The main gate will be closed and supervised by the security officer. Only parents and visitors, who have an appointment with the school will be allowed to enter through the main gate.

School golfer, shorts and house shirt

The official school golfer, shorts and golfer is now available from The Little Shop only, and becomes compulsory in 2017. I encourage you to please purchase these items.

16 days of activism- women and child abuse

Scottburgh SAPS extends an invite to parents and learners to join them in a March on Friday- 9 December at 10am, starting at the SAPS Station. Parents and learners are encouraged to attend.
