Notice to Parents: 7 of 2017

21 June 2017

Dear Parents

Please take note of the following:

Golfer Day – Friday 23 June: Learners may come to school in their school golfer/house shirt, track-pants/PE shorts or normal school uniform. From next term, no house shirt will be allowed on Golfer Day, as we have given ample time for our parents to purchase a school golfer.

Extra Murals: Last day for all extra murals is Tuesday, 27 June.

Individual/Sport Photos: Tuesday, 27 June. A communication was sent home.

Winter Sports Day (Gr 3 to 7): Wednesday, 28 June : This event starts at 8am (chess) and 9am (soccer/netball). All parents are invited to support. Due to security reasons, only Gate 3 (Galway) will be opened to parents.

Inter-House Academic and Sport Awards Assembly: This will take place on Thursday 29 June.

Teacher/Parent Interviews/Collection of Learner Reports – Term 2: Thursday, 29 June: Kindly report to your child’s class teacher between 14h30 and 18h30 to discuss your child’s Term 2 progress and to collect their reports. If you are unable to attend, kindly inform the front office to make alternate arrangements. It is disappointing to note that learner reports still remain in the front office uncollected.

School Fees: A huge thank you to all those parents that have kept to their obligation to pay their child’s school fees. It is important to note that the funding we receive from you, as parents, assist us to maintain a reasonably high standard of education at our school, which has a direct bearing on your child’s future. Parents are also reminded about the policy with regards to failure to pay their school fees, which comes into effect at the end of this month. Please support and work in partnership with our school.

Grand Math Challenge Finals: The final round will be contested on Thursday, 29 June. We are looking forward to this exciting new initiative.

Social Soccer Match: Parents are invited to join the staff for a friendly soccer match on Tuesday, 27 June at 3:30pm. Kindly inform the font office if you are able to join us.

Eid-ul-Fitr: On behalf of the staff, learners and SPS community, we would like to wish all our Muslim families a Happy Eid-ul-Fitr.

Yours sincerely,

Segran Naidoo
